Moab to Cedar City

Had breakfast then went right to Arches Natl Park outside Moab. The rock formations here are incredible. We decided that they haven't changed much since I was here last; about 35 years ago.

From Arches we went through Canyonlands Natl Park and then on to Cedar City. Lots of elevation changes today along with twisty mountain roads. Temperature varied widely causing frequent stops to put coats on, then back off. Small rain bursts , and in one case hail, hit is three times. All part of the fun.

Twisty roads with constant shifting were a liitle hard on the arm. Tomorrow should be easier and shorter. Relaxing now and hope to have a glass of wine. Mike went on a wine run for the group. What a guy.

Bike is major dirty due to the rain. Will have to trade it when I get back.

Tomorrow we get to Ely NV. This begins our signature ride the next day on the "Loneliest Road" - Rt 50 through Nevada. Can't wait.

  1. Mike's always willing to take on for the team, when there's wine involved! LOL
Always better to trade in a dirty bike than to wash it :-)

    Looks like an AWESOME day!

  2. I picked up 3 good bottles of wine, and one "jug" wine, which is my favorite. Guess which one we emptied?? Right! My Paisano. Good stuff..
