US Route 50: Done.

We did it!  We rode U.S. Route 50 all the way west until it ended in Sacramento.  Now, for some fun!  We celebrated in two ways:

1.  We stopped at the Folsom Harley dealership and met up with my cousin Michele and her husband Jim.
2.  We picked up Jim's, Curt's, Bob's, and Kevin"s wives, who will spend the next few days with us in wine country and Reno.

I was surprised when we met the wives at the airport.  Instead of greeting their respective husbands, they charged at me, saying how great it was to see me.  I was so surprised, and it made me laugh.  I think they felt sorry for me, being the only single one.  lol.

I am thrilled that I'll be at the same hotel for 3 nights in a row!  As much as I like to ride, it's a pain in the butt unpacking and packing every day.  It's not like throwing stuff in the back seat of your car.  With a bike, you have to think about every cubic inch of space, and where you're going to put each item.

When I got back from doing my laundry tonight, everyone was still sitting on the stoop of the adjoining rooms we have at a great hotel.  Instead of going out to eat, we decided to order pizza.  So, we sat around and had some wine, and told stories of our trip, including some of the difficult times we had with each other.  Ironically, those are the times that will make this trip most memorable.  It seems that the stories get better each time we tell them.  Funny how that happens...  :)

Tomorrow, off to Ledson's for a private wine tasting.  We have rented a van, so no bikes tomorrow.  And, we have a designated driver, just in case.

Here are some of today's pics...

Lake Tahoe:  On our way to Sacramento.  Great weather!!

Folsom Harley-Davidson dealership:  me, my cousin Michele, and her husband Jim, who met us there.

Parking lot at Sacramento airport:  loading up the four guys' wives' bags

Our hotel in Napa.  We spent the rest of the day there (except me, who did laundry!)

Linda (Curt), Cheryl (Bob), and Terri (Jim)

One by one, we all donned warmer clothes, as the temps became so mild....I love this weather.

All of us (except Linda, who is taking the pic)
