We had a great ride today through some very unique landscapes starting with the Arches National Park when it opened, working through wide open high altitude mesas, further up over Boulder Mountain....a bit cool....working our way down through the twisties into more canyons of all colors while listening to Jamiroquai from my good friend Mel. Hit showers two or three times, the most interesting spot was when we were coming down out of the mountains on a ridge with sheer drops on both sides into canyons. This definitely got the adrenaline pumping.
This is our second night in Utah. We're told the state name is from the Ute tribe meaning "people of the mountains". Being ex P&G'ers we know it's an acronymn for "Unusually Torpid Alcohol Here". We're looking at another night of "3-2" beer here among the people of the mountains. It is definitely starting to have an impact upon our personal likeability indexes.
On to Nevada tomorrow.
